VDO Dayton MS4100: CD is not recognized

I have a VDO DAYTON system (audio and navigation) MS4100 installed (by factory) to an Opel Vectra Carravan model 2001, and i have some problem with him.
The radio tuner is ok, but he don't recognize any CD (even the software CD or maps CD). When i insert a CD i hear a sound inside (i think the CD is turning) but nothing happend. I try to clean it with a special CD cleaner, also with a stick with cotton, but no result.
I contact the local VDO distributor - Falcon Electronics (in Romania) - but they told me that can't help me.
Please tell me if is any chances to repair it (or any spare parts to replace) or at least to change the language of display who is now in netherland language.

Sorry to read that your 4100 gives problems, which indicate that the CD-Drive is not working properly anymore.
As you write:

it means that no music CD's are read anymore as well?

When that's the case, I'm afraid that it requires servicing from a VDO Service Centre, or at least from a Repair Centre that's familiar with this type of Drives.

You could send a mail to VDO and ask them for advice, amongst others to get information on possibilities for repair in your country. On their website I find this: http://www.vdodayton.com/default2_and_f ... cc=RO.aspx

For changing the language in your display from Dutch into another language, you need the SW-CD.
So, unfortunately you can't change it now

I allready write an e-mail to VDO but i don't receive any answer.
Also i was to the local VDO distributor but with no results.
I will try to find a specialist who know to repair this kind of drives.
